Don’t Look Back

You acccompanied me down the escalator and asked for a hug before we said our goodbyes. I said no. I patted you on your shoulders and turned towards the entrance of the train station. It took some effort to resist not looking back. I walked towards the bench and sat down.

5 minutes to train’s arrival. I gave in and turned my gaze towards the ascending escalator. You had disappeared into the crowd.

A tingling sensation overwhelmed me.
