Had a lovely evening with some great friends (aka wine kakis) at Taberna Wine Bar Singapore, that’s in their 8th week of operation. Nestled in a quiet neighbourhood off Dunearn Road, the bar boasts an impressive wine list which is quite french-centric (not that I’m complaining), with an owner and sommelier who are truly passionate about what they do. My friends and I ordered cze char from Hup Choon Eating Hse which is just around the corner, or you could actually opt for Ivin’s peranakan food just a couple of doors away too. There should be cold cuts and cheeses available in the near future but for now, hop over and try the various fino sherries they have to offer and order the belacan kangkung & har cheong kai (prawn paste chicken) to go with it!
If you love champagnes, they pour vintage Dom Perignon (amongst other things) by the glass too 🙂
