Dominique Piron’s Morgon 2008 and MIchel Lafarge’s Meursault 2008

No tasting notes available for these bottles as I didn’t bother jotting them down. Suffice to say that it was a superbly powerful and masculine 2009 Morgon from Dominique Piron – not sure if I actually liked it but the wine did taste far stronger in alcohol than the 13%abv on the label. A mouthful of very ripe black dark fruits. Needs time. Michel Lafarge’s Meursault was decent but not drop dead gorgeous. Beautiful aromas but I thought something was amiss – can’t quite pinpoint what it was. Nevertheless, it definitely left an impression on a friend who’s a virgin on who tasted Meursault for the first time!
