Kidnapper Cliffs Chardonnay 2009, Hawkes Bay, NZ

Kidnapper Cliffs Chardonnay 2009Bright light golden-yellow core; Flint, lemons, clover honey and hazelnut cream on the nose. Intense citrus profile on the palate with subtle nuances of hazelnut, vanilla and kumquat. Good structure and balance. Med+ acidity and med+ to long length. Excellent buy. One of the few NZ chardonnays which I found to be a cut above the rest (of the undrinkable mass-produced, heavily oaked, excessive butterscotch-laden chardy).
