Madame 2004, Les Vigne d'Elodie

Appearance: Dark and brooding purple with a little sediment.

Nose: Aromas of crushed blueberries, blackcurrants and black cherries.  Hints of cedar, mint and licorice lingered in the glass.

Palate: Sweet, ripe dark fruits came to mind immediately with the first sip. Nice savoury touch on the palate with its bright acidity and tannic grip. Oaky with a medium finish.

Comments: Made of 60% carignan, 32% grenache and 8% syrah. This has been aged in oak barrels and it shows đŸ™‚ Bought this at Le Benaton. This beauty NEEDS food to shine.
